Klisidi Beach in Rethymno is a small and quiet cove on the southern coast of Crete. It lies about 35 kilometers south of Rethymno Town and only 4 kilometers east of Plakias

Although less known, the beach offers beautiful scenery and a peaceful atmosphere. Visitors usually reach it by car, parking above the beach and walking down a rocky path. The beach sits between Mikro Ammoudi and Damnoni. It remains hidden by high cliffs and steep rocks.

Because of its small size and tricky access, the beach stays quiet even during the high season. Still, arriving early guarantees better spots and some natural shade from the surrounding cliffs

Unlike nearby beaches, Klisidi has no umbrellas, sunbeds, or organized facilities. However, restrooms are available next to the parking area above. For food and drinks, travelers can walk to Mikro Ammoudi, which has a small canteen. Ammoudi Beach, located nearby, also offers tavernas and casual food stands.

Reaching Klisidi requires proper footwear. The short descent involves rocks and loose gravel. Since flip-flops do not provide enough grip, strong shoes or hiking sandals are highly recommended.

Visitors often combine Klisidi with nearby beaches. Mikro Ammoudi and Ammoudi sit just a few minutes away on foot. Plakias also provides more food choices, shops, and accommodations just a short drive away.
