The Anilio Ski Center sits on Mount Peristeri in the Epirus region. It stands at an elevation between 1,680 and 1,850 meters. The resort lies only 7 kilometers from Anilio village and just 6 kilometers from the town of Metsovo.
The center first opened in 2012. In 2017, it added more features and improved infrastructure. Today, it ranks among the most modern ski resorts in Greece. The ski area includes 9 to 13 marked trails, covering a total of around 5 to 6 kilometers. Green slopes welcome beginners, while blue runs suit intermediate skiers. Red trails offer challenges for advanced users.
Additionally, a dedicated snowboard run and certified snowpark attract freestyle fans. To reach the slopes, five ski lifts operate efficiently. These include a two-seater chairlift, two surface lifts, and two baby tow-lifts. Therefore, skiers of all levels find suitable options for both access and skill development.
Beyond traditional skiing, Anilio Ski Center offers outdoor winter adventure. Visitors can explore off-piste ski mountaineering trails in the nearby Pindus mountains. Snowmobile paths run through surrounding forests and allow for guided or solo rides. For families, a sled zone gives children a safe space to enjoy the snow. At the base of the slopes, the stone-built chalet provides warmth and relaxation. Inside, guests can order coffee, tea, traditional pies, snacks, and local drinks like tsipouro.
Access remains reliable even during heavy snowfall. A paved road connects Anilio Ski Center to the Egnatia Odos highway. Snowplows operate around the clock to keep routes clear. For adventure seekers, a secondary gravel road from Metsovo allows access for higher-clearance vehicles. Ticket prices stay affordable and discounts apply for children, students, and short-term use.
In short, the Anilio Ski Center delivers a complete mountain experience. It combines ski slopes, family activities, freestyle terrain, and four-season adventures.
