Agia Kioura Beach sits on the northeast coast of Leros, near the village of Partheni, about 9 km north of Agia Marina. It stretches just below the small church of Agia Kioura, which adds a spiritual character to the setting. 

The shoreline features fine sand and the sea sparkles with turquoise and deep blue shades. Swimmers enjoy the clear and calm water, while snorkelers explore the rocky edges that attract small fish. In addition, shallow areas close to the shore allow families with children to feel safe. 

Tamarisk trees line parts of the beach and offer shade mainly in the afternoon. However, the morning sun shines directly on the sand, so umbrellas or portable shade provide extra comfort.

Access to the beach remains relatively simple. A short dirt road leads from the church down to the shore. Most vehicles drive this road without difficulty. Furthermore, parking areas sit close to the beach, which makes the spot easy to reach. Although the road brings convenience, the beach still feels hidden from busy tourist routes. 

The beach does not include organized facilities. Sunbeds, umbrellas, and beach bars do not appear here. For that reason, visitors usually carry their own supplies. Food, drinks, and towels should be packed in advance. This preparation ensures a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Locals also gather here, especially on summer weekends, when the beach becomes more lively. Therefore, arriving early allows travelers to secure shaded spots under the trees and enjoy the quieter hours of the day.

Although no taverns stand directly on the beach, several local eateries in Blefoutis offer delicious meals and refreshments. Many visitors choose to swim at Agia Kioura Beach first and then continue to Blefoutis either for a second swim and/or food.
