Diaskari Beach in Lassithi lies on the southeast coast of Crete, about 27 kilometers east of Ierapetra and just 4 kilometers from the village of Makry Gialos. Although close to small resorts, the beach remains quiet and unspoiled. The beach combines soft sand and fine pebbles. Tamarisk trees line parts of the shore, creating shaded spots for visitors.

Meanwhile, the eastern side of the beach remains natural and untouched. No buildings or organized facilities exist there. As a result, visitors who prefer seclusion often choose this part of the beach. The dunes and open space create a peaceful setting for sunbathing, reading, or simply enjoying the view. 

Access to Diaskari Beach is simple and convenient. A paved road leads directly from Makry Gialos, and visitors can park in a small lot next to the taverna. Although public buses run to Makry Gialos, travelers must rely on private transport to reach the beach itself. 

The beach rarely gets crowded, even in peak summer. Families, couples, and solo travelers enjoy the calm vibe and natural charm. Furthermore, the gentle sea conditions make the beach ideal for both swimming and wading.
