Trachili Beach in Chios lies on the west coast of the island. It sits about 20 km from Chios Town and just 5 km from the village of Lithi. Although the location feels remote, access remains fairly easy for most vehicles.

After parking near the top of a hill, visitors walk down a short footpath to the shore. The walk takes only a few minutes, though the slope can be steep in parts.

The beach features smooth pebbles. The sea looks incredibly clear and takes on shades of turquoise under the sun. As the pebbles of the beach are quite large, bringing water shoes remains a decent option.

Unlike tourist-heavy beaches, Trachili Beach offers no services. Visitors will not find sunbeds, restrooms, or beach bars here. Instead, they must bring their own supplies—especially water, food, towels, and shade. Because the beach offers little natural cover, an umbrella becomes essential during hot midday hours.

For those who enjoy walking, a short uphill path leads to a medieval stone watchtower, known locally as a “Vigla.” This tower once served as a lookout over the Aegean Sea.
