Thapsa Beach Evia lies on the southeastern coast of the island, near the village of Kymi. It ranks among the most secluded and scenic beaches on the island. Locals often call it the “Blue Lagoon” of Evia because of its bright waters and untouched natural beauty.

The beach features a mix of soft white sand and small pebbles. The shoreline stays clean, while the sea shows vivid shades of turquoise and emerald.

Getting to Thapsa Beach Evia requires planning and effort. Travelers must drive through a 10-kilometer dirt road after passing the village of Oxylithos. The road includes steep slopes, sharp turns, and loose stones. Therefore, most people use a 4×4 vehicle to drive safely. From Athens, the total trip takes about three hours. From Chalkida, the journey lasts around two hours and twenty minutes.

Once at the beach, visitors find a small beach bar open in summer. The bar sells drinks, light snacks, and provides access to toilets and showers. However, the beach stays mostly undeveloped. Because of this, travelers often bring their own supplies. Items like food, water, sunscreen, and towels are essential.

Furthermore, campers often visit Thapsa to spend the night under the stars. The flat areas behind the beach allow for small tents. Despite the inconvenience, many travelers choose Thapsa for its natural charm and privacy.
