Pori Beach is often considered one of the most beautiful beaches on Koufonisia. It sits on the northeastern coast of the island, facing the open Aegean Sea. The beach stretches in a wide, graceful arc of soft white sand, surrounded by low rocky hills and crystal-clear turquoise waters.

Getting to Pori Beach requires a little effort. From Chora, visitors can either walk for about 45 minutes along a scenic coastal path or take a boat that regularly departs from the port. Another option is to rent a bike, as the flat terrain makes cycling a pleasant and quick way to reach the beach.

The beach’s main attraction lies in its dazzling waters. The sea appears in stunning shades of blue and green, clear enough to see straight to the sandy bottom. The water remains shallow for some distance, making swimming safe and enjoyable for everyone. Moreover, the steady winds that often visit this part of the island create perfect conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing.

Pori Beach remains largely unorganized, adding to its wild and free atmosphere. No rows of sunbeds or umbrellas dominate the landscape. Instead, visitors bring their own towels, beach mats, and umbrellas to create their perfect spot. Some natural shade can be found at the edges of the beach, but it remains limited. Therefore, carrying sun protection, water, and snacks becomes essential for a comfortable day.

Although the beach feels remote, two charming tavernas operate nearby. They offer simple but delicious meals, refreshing drinks, and a place to rest from the sun. Fresh seafood, local cheeses, and traditional Greek dishes fill their menus, making a lunch break here an easy and tasty decision.

In short, Pori Beach promises a day full of natural beauty, clear waters, and a relaxed spirit. Its combination of accessibility, raw charm, and activities makes it a highlight of any Koufonisia trip.
