Melani Beach Pelion lies on the southeastern coast of the Thessaly region. It lies close to the villages of Paltsi and Xinovrysi, about 55 km southeast of Volos. Although it remains less known, it offers an excellent option for travelers who enjoy nature and calm surroundings. The beach covers a wide and long shoreline and fine golden sand mixes with pebbles in some places.
Melani Beach Pelion stays unorganized throughout the year. No sunbeds, umbrellas, or water sports operate here. Consequently, visitors bring their own essentials such as towels, umbrellas, and drinking water. Although the area offers little shade, trees near the rocks provide some relief from the sun.
Reaching the beach requires a short but rough drive. A dirt road leads down from the main road near Xinovrysi. Since the road can be uneven, careful driving is necessary. After parking near the beach, visitors continue on foot along a short trail.
During the summer months, a few local tavernas operate near the beach. These small spots serve fresh fish, grilled meat, and traditional Greek dishes. However, choices remain limited. For this reason, many visitors bring picnics or purchase supplies from nearby villages before arriving.
In addition, hiking trails connect Melani to nearby beaches such as Potistika and Kommos. These paths offer scenic routes through the forest and along the coast.
