Gramvousa Beach Crete sits on a small island off the northwest coast of the island. You can only reach it by boat, usually from Kissamos. The trip takes about an hour. Most boat tours also stop at Balos Lagoon.

The boat returns to Kissamos in the afternoon. It’s best to book your tour early in the day. Also, wear sturdy shoes if you plan to climb to the castle. Flip-flops don’t work well on rocky paths.
