Agios Thomas Beach Kefalonia is a charming and peaceful beach located on the southern coast of the island. It lies near the village of Karavados, about 12 kilometers from Argostoli, the island’s capital. This beach offers a relaxing setting and a great spot for families, couples, and those looking for a quiet place to swim and sunbathe.

The beach is split into two small bays. One has soft sand and shallow waters, ideal for children and less confident swimmers. The other has flat, smooth rocks that are perfect for sunbathing or jumping into the sea.

Agios Thomas Beach is not large, but it is well-organized. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for rent in the sandy bay. A few trees provide some natural shade. The atmosphere is calm, and the beach rarely gets crowded, even in the high season. The views from the beach are lovely, with clear sights of the Ionian Sea and the distant coastline of the Peloponnese.

Close to the beach, there are a couple of tavernas and cafes. They serve traditional Greek food, fresh seafood, drinks, and snacks. It’s easy to enjoy lunch or a coffee with a sea view. Also, there are also public toilets and outdoor showers available, making it convenient for families.

Visitors can swim, snorkel, and explore the small rocky coves nearby. The flat rocks on one side of the beach attract people who enjoy diving into the deeper water.

Agios Thomas Beach Kefalonia is easy to reach by car. There is a small parking area close to the beach, but it can fill up quickly in the summer. Additionally, the road leading to the beach is paved and in good condition.
