Today, the lake is surrounded by cafés, tavernas, and walking paths. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a drink, a meal, or a sunset view. Fishing boats and colorful buildings add to the peaceful atmosphere.

For culture lovers, the town also has an Archaeological Museum with Minoan artifacts from eastern Crete. It’s small but interesting and worth a short visit.
