Chalkolimnionas Beach in Andros rests along the western coast of the island, about 14 km west of Chora. It lies near the small village of Kolympos, just 2 kilometers inland. A paved road leads directly to the beach, so reaching it by car is simple. Visitors easily find parking just steps from the shore.

The beach features soft beige sand that stretches for about 180 meters. The seabed slopes gently, which makes it safe for swimmers of all ages. The vivid turquoise color of the water creates a stunning contrast with the surrounding hills and rocky edges.

In terms of comfort, the beach provides useful amenities. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available at fair prices. A beach bar serves cold drinks and light snacks throughout the day. 

Moreover, families enjoy visiting this beach. The shallow water and soft sand make it ideal for children. Restrooms and changing cabins stand nearby, offering added convenience. Because of its easy access and safe swimming area, Chalkolimnionas Beach ranks as one of the island’s more family-friendly options.

However, the beach tends to fill up by midday, especially during peak summer months. Umbrellas in front go quickly. Therefore, arriving early ensures a better spot. Prices at the bar and for sunbeds may run higher than at more remote beaches. 

Although no full restaurants operate directly on the sand, the beach bar offers drinks and small bites. For larger meals, travelers usually return to Kolympos or drive to nearby tavernas. Packing water and snacks allows for a longer beach stay.
