Yaliskari Beach Corfu is a small, secluded bay located on the west coast of the island. It lies close to the better-known beaches of Glyfada and Kontogialos. Located approximately 13 to 16 kilometers from Corfu Town, Yaliskari lies just 1.3 kilometers below the hilltop village of Pelekas.
The beach is accessed via a narrow, winding road that requires careful driving. Despite the limited number of parking spaces, parking is free. Therefore, early arrival is strongly recommended, especially during the summer months.
The beach itself is compact and crescent-shaped, with a mix of soft sand, small pebbles and smooth rockbeds. The sea here is calm, shallow near the edges, and crystal clear—perfect for swimming and snorkeling. While the beach is generally safe, water shoes are advisable due to the rocky seabed in some areas.
Although Yaliskari Beach Corfu is not fully organized, basic amenities are available. A small number of sunbeds and umbrellas can be rented, often linked to the local taverna. In fact, customers who order food or drinks from the Yaliskari Beach Fish Taverna may be allowed to use sunbeds free of charge or for a small fee. This taverna, set right on the beach, serves traditional Greek dishes such as grilled fish, fried calamari, fresh octopus, and homemade sides.
However, there are no public restrooms, changing rooms, or showers. For this reason, visitors should come prepared with essentials like towels, drinking water, sunscreen, and snacks if needed.
Nearby attractions include the village of Pelekas, known for its panoramic sunset views and traditional tavernas, as well as Kaiser’s Throne. Additionally, Kontogialos and Glyfada Beaches are within a short drive and offer more extensive services, such as water sports, bars, and shops.
