Potistika Beach sits on the southeastern coast of Mount Pelion, around 50 kilometers southwest of Volos, close to the quiet village of Xinovrysi. It offers golden sand, turquoise waters, and large rock formations that rise impressively from the sea. Unlike many popular beaches, Potistika remains peaceful and mostly untouched. 

The beach stretches wide across a long bay. Soft sand covers the shore, creating a perfect setting for sunbathing and beach games. The sea stays clear and gradually deepens, which allows for safe swimming. On calm days, the water feels still and refreshing. However, during windy periods, small waves add excitement to the experience. Therefore, the beach offers variety depending on the weather.

To reach Potistika, travelers follow a paved road from Xinovrysi or Argalasti. Although the road includes several sharp turns, the journey remains short and scenic. After parking near the coast, visitors walk a brief path that leads directly to the beach. 

The beach has limited amenities. It used to be organized with sunbeds and a beach bar, until the flood in September of 2023, which caused severe damage to the area of Pelion. Consequently, visitors are encouraged to bring their own food, drink and equipment. 

Olive groves and low hills surround the beach. Green landscapes meet the golden coast, offering amazing contrasts. During sunset, the rocks glow in warm colors, creating ideal conditions for photography. Visitors often stay late to enjoy the peaceful evening views. Couples, nature lovers, and families all find reasons to return.
