Paleokastritsa Beach, also known as Agios Spiridon Beach, is one of the most famous beaches on Corfu Island. It lies on the island’s northwest coast, about 25 kilometers from Corfu Town.

The beach has soft golden sand mixed with small pebbles. The waters are crystal-clear, with shades of blue and turquoise. The seabed deepens quickly, making it perfect for swimming and snorkeling. 

Paleokastritsa Beach consists of several small bays. Each has unique scenery and a slightly different character. Some are easily accessible, while others require a short walk or a boat ride. 

Boat rentals and guided tours allow visitors to explore hidden caves and nearby beaches. Many take a boat to the famous Blue Eye Cave, where the water glows in vibrant shades of blue. 

Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for rent. A few beachside tavernas serve fresh seafood and local dishes. Visitors enjoy meals with stunning sea views, often accompanied by the sound of waves.

The Monastery of Theotokos, perched on a hill above the beach, adds to the area’s charm. It dates back to the 13th century and offers panoramic views of the coastline. Many visitors walk up to admire the architecture and explore the small museum inside.

Agios Spiridon Beach is easy to reach by car or bus from Corfu Town. Parking is available nearby, but it fills up quickly in summer. Arriving early ensures a better spot and a more peaceful experience.
