Paleochori Milos sits on the southeastern coast of the island, about 10 kilometers from Adamas. The drive takes around 15 to 20 minutes. The beach is famous for its unique volcanic landscape, colorful rocks, and warm sea water. 

The beach stretches for nearly a kilometer. It features a mix of fine sand and vibrant cliffs in red, yellow, and orange hues. These colors come from the area’s volcanic activity. Steam vents and hot springs even warm parts of the sea, creating a natural spa-like experience. 

Access to Paleochori is easy. The road is paved and well-marked. A large parking area sits just above the beach. From there, a short walk leads directly to the shore. The beach is organized and offers many comforts. Visitors can rent sunbeds and umbrellas. Beach bars and restaurants line the coast, providing food, drinks, and shade throughout the day.

Several beachside tavernas serve fresh seafood and Greek dishes. Some places even cook food in the hot sand, using the geothermal heat beneath the beach. This unique feature adds to the charm of Paleochori. 

Paleochori gets busy in the summer, especially in July and August. Arriving earlier in the day ensures better parking and quieter spots. The eastern part of the beach is more relaxed, while the western side hosts the livelier beach clubs. Families, couples, and solo travelers all enjoy the variety and energy this beach offers.

Restrooms and showers are available near the main beach area. Visitors should still bring sunscreen, hats, and plenty of water during the hot months. Winds are usually light here, making it a dependable option when other beaches on the island are windy.
