Chorefto Beach lies on the eastern coast of Mount Pelion, in the region of Thessaly. It stretches along the Aegean Sea, just a few kilometers from the traditional village of Zagora. Because of its natural beauty, long sandy shore, and peaceful setting, Chorefto attracts many visitors each summer. The beach extends for over two kilometers. Soft golden sand covers the wide shoreline.

Moreover, the sea offers crystal-clear, deep blue waters. On calm days, swimming conditions remain ideal. During windier periods, larger waves create opportunities for bodyboarding and other water activities. However, strong currents tend to appear when it gets too windy, so visitors should exercise caution.

Chorefto offers both organized and free sections. Along the main part of the beach, cafés and bars provide sunbeds and umbrellas. Visitors can relax under shade while enjoying snacks, coffee, or fresh juices. Meanwhile, other areas remain untouched, offering more privacy and a quiet atmosphere.

Behind the beach, dense greenery and forested hills rise above the coast. Olive trees and wild plants grow close to the sand. In the early morning or late afternoon, sunlight creates stunning views along the water.

Chorefto also holds cultural importance. In the 19th century, it served as the main port of Zagora. Merchants exported local goods such as apples, olives, and silk across the Aegean. Today, the village honors its maritime history through festivals and local traditions.

The village of Chorefto lies just behind the beach. It offers tavernas, guesthouses, mini markets, and local shops. Traditional Greek meals, especially seafood dishes, appear on most menus. Additionally, accommodations range from simple rooms to small boutique hotels. Many stay just a few steps from the beach.

Reaching Chorefto is simple. Travelers can drive from Volos, a coastal city located about 90 minutes away. The route passes through winding mountain roads and scenic landscapes. Public buses also connect Volos with Chorefto and nearby Zagora. Parking is available along the edge of the beach and within the village.

In short, Chorefto Beach combines natural beauty, historical character, and modern convenience. With its clear waters, spacious coast, and welcoming village, it offers an unforgettable coastal experience in eastern Pelion.
