Banana Beach Zakynthos, located on the southern coast of the island, is a truly mesmerizing beach. The beach is famous for its long stretch of soft, golden sand and crystal-clear, turquoise waters. Its shallow waters make it ideal for families and swimmers of all levels.

Banana Beach is easily accessible by car or bus. From Zakynthos Town, it takes about 25 minutes to reach the beach. There are plenty of parking spaces available nearby, though it can get crowded during peak summer months.

The beach is divided into two sections: one is more laid-back, while the other is lined with beach bars and water sports activities. The area with beach bars offers sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, giving visitors a chance to relax in comfort. The other section remains quieter and offers a more peaceful atmosphere. For water sports enthusiasts, Banana Beach is a great place to try activities like jet skiing, parasailing, and paddleboarding.

Visitors should note that the beach can become crowded, especially in July and August. To avoid the crowds, it’s best to visit early in the morning or later in the evening. The summer months see a rise in temperatures, so sunscreen, hats, and water are essential to stay hydrated and protected from the sun.

While there are no major hotels directly in Banana Beach Zakynthos, nearby accommodations offer a range of options, from hotels to private villas. Many visitors choose to stay in the nearby village of Vassilikos, where they can enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere while being close to Banana Beach.

For dining, there are a few tavernas near the beach where you can sample local Greek dishes. Many offer fresh seafood and traditional Mediterranean meals.
