Chora of Ios is the capital of the island and features its main port Ios. It is situated on the top of a hill, offering spectacular views of the Aegean Sea and the neighboring islands. 

The village features whitewashed houses with blue doors and windows, narrow cobbled streets, and numerous restaurants, cafes, and bars. 

One of the main attractions of Chora is the Panagia Gremiotissa Church, a beautiful structure with a bright blue dome that can be seen from all around the island. 

Visitors can also explore the Archaeological Museum, which exhibits artifacts from the island’s ancient history.
