Kohilari Beach Kos stretches along the northwest coast of the island, near Kefalos village. It lies around 37 kilometers from Kos Town. The beach offers a long, open shoreline with soft golden sand. Also, the breeze from the Aegean blows steadily, especially in the afternoon. For this reason, the area attracts windsurfers and kitesurfers.

Next to the entrance, a kite center provides rental gear and surfing lessons. Certified instructors help beginners learn the basics. Meanwhile, experienced surfers head straight into the waves.

In contrast, the western side offers calm and quiet. Families with children often choose this area. The sea remains shallow near the shore, making it safe for young swimmers. Sunbeds and umbrellas line the sand in small clusters.

The best time to visit Kohilari Beach Kos runs from May through September. Mornings offer soft sun and light wind. Afternoons bring stronger breezes, ideal for surfing.
